Itinerary
Day 1Arrive in Kathmandu | Transfer to KGHOvernight: 1350 m
Arrive in Kathmandu and we transfer you to Kathmandu Guest House (KGH). The day is kept light so you can rest, hydrate, and recover from travel. If you arrive early, you can take a short walk nearby and pick up any last-minute essentials for the trek. In the evening, we keep things calm so you start the trip feeling fresh and well-rested.
Day 2Kathmandu | Optional World Heritage SightseeingOvernight: 1350 m
This is your second Kathmandu day, so it can be used for Optional World Heritage Sightseeing while still keeping time for trek preparation. You will have a trek briefing, final gear checks, and time to organize layers for warm days and cooler ridge mornings. If you choose sightseeing, we keep it relaxed and efficient so you still have downtime. A calm evening and good sleep help a lot before the Pokhara flight tomorrow.
Day 3Fly to PokharaOvernight: 815 m
Fly to Pokhara and settle into Nepal’s most relaxed trekking gateway. The lakeside atmosphere is ideal for slowing down and preparing calmly for the trek start. Depending on arrival time, you can enjoy a gentle walk by Phewa Lake or simply rest and enjoy good food. This is also a good moment to double-check your daypack setup and keep hydration strong. An early night is recommended so you feel fresh for the trailhead transfer tomorrow.
Day 4Trek to BanthantiOvernight: 2200 m
After a drive to the Tikhedhunga area, you begin trekking on classic foothill trails through terraced farmland and forest edges. The day is designed to build your trekking rhythm gradually, with steady climbs that feel rewarding without rushing. Banthanti is a common overnight area on this corridor and a practical place to rest well before pushing onto higher ridges. The evening is usually calm and cozy, perfect for a warm meal and early sleep.
Day 5Trek to Mohare Danda or Appa CottageOvernight: 3300 m
Today you climb onto the higher ridge zone where the landscape feels more open and panoramic. The route often moves through forest sections and then breaks onto broader ridgelines as you approach the viewpoint areas. Mohare Danda is known as a quieter viewpoint than the busiest routes, and overnighting in this zone is often about enjoying sunset and early-morning ridge light. If you overnight at Appa Cottage instead, it is used as a similar staging stop in the ridge area depending on lodge availability and pacing. The focus is on steady pacing, hydration, and enjoying the calm atmosphere.
Day 6Trek to SwantaOvernight: 2300 m
You descend from the ridge zone toward village corridors, and the landscape becomes warmer and more lived-in again. The trail moves through terraced hillsides and forest sections, with a strong sense of rural life returning as you approach Swanta. Swanta is a charming village stop on the way into the Khopra region, and it feels calmer and more local than the main trekking highways. The evening is relaxed, and it’s a good time to rest because altitude rises again tomorrow.
Day 7Trek to Dhan KharkaOvernight: 3000 m
Today you climb into higher grazing country and the trek begins to feel more remote and alpine. The scenery shifts from village terraces into forest and open pasture landscapes, and the air becomes cooler as you gain altitude. Dhan Kharka is a key staging stop for reaching Khopra Danda and is known for its high pasture setting. This is a great day for steady pacing, warm layers in the evening, and good hydration as you move toward the trek’s higher ridge.
Day 8Trek to Khopra DandaOvernight: 3650 m
This is a defining day of the trek as you climb onto the Khopra Danda ridge. The landscape becomes more open and high-alpine in feel, and the sense of being on a true panoramic ridge is strong once you reach the top. Khopra Danda is one of the best viewpoint areas in the Annapurna region, appreciated for its wide horizons and quieter atmosphere compared to more crowded routes. After arrival, it’s best to rest, stay warm, and enjoy the ridge setting without rushing. A calm evening here helps you recover and fully enjoy the high mountain atmosphere.
Day 9Trek to DobatoOvernight: 3500 m
You leave the Khopra ridge and move toward Dobato, another high area used as a base for early morning viewpoints in this region. The day often feels varied, with a mix of ridge walking and forest sections depending on the exact route used. Dobato is well known as a staging point for the morning viewpoint hike, so arriving here sets you up for a very scenic start tomorrow. The evening is best kept relaxed, with an early night recommended if you want the clearest morning views.
Day 10Dobato viewpoint hike, trek to ChuileOvernight: 2300 m
You start early for the Dobato viewpoint experience, which is a major highlight for wide Himalayan panoramas in clear weather. After returning from the viewpoint, you begin descending toward Chuile, and the landscape becomes greener and warmer as you lose altitude. The day is a satisfying transition from high ridge country back toward village life and terraced hillsides. Chuile is a comfortable lower stop that helps break up the descent and keeps the pace enjoyable. This evening is often restful because the air feels much richer compared to the high ridge nights.
Day 11Trek to ChhomrongOvernight: 2200 m
Today you reconnect with the classic Annapurna village corridor as you trek toward Chhomrong. The route has the familiar foothills rhythm of climbs and descents, and you will notice more trekking movement as you approach the Annapurna Sanctuary approach zone. Chhomrong is a lively Gurung village that feels like a gateway settlement, with a strong mountain village atmosphere. Arriving here gives a satisfying sense of linking the quieter ridge trek with one of the region’s most iconic villages. The evening is a good time to rest well before the lower luxury lodge finish begins.
Day 12Trek to LandrukOvernight: 1560 m
You trek through terraced hillsides and village trails toward Landruk, shifting into warmer mid-hill landscapes again. The day feels culturally rich and more relaxed compared to the high ridge section, with plenty of lived-in scenery and local life along the route. Landruk is a charming village known for its traditional feel. This is an excellent night for recovery and comfort after the higher trekking days.
Day 13Trek to Dhampus, drive to PokharaOvernight: 815 m
You trek toward Dhampus, enjoying a ridge-style finish with a wider horizon feel as you move closer to the Pokhara side. Dhampus is a well-known foothills village and a comfortable final trekking stop. After trekking, you drive back down to Pokhara and return to lakeside comfort. The evening is perfect for a long shower, a great dinner, and an easy walk by the lake. It’s a smooth transition from trekking life into a relaxed city finish.
Day 14PokharaOvernight: 815 m
A full free day in Pokhara to relax and enjoy the destination properly. You can keep it simple with lakeside cafés, spa time, or pool time, or add optional light activities depending on your mood. This day also serves as a practical buffer in case travel schedules shift. The goal is to finish the trek feeling refreshed, not rushed. A relaxed evening prepares you for the short flight back to Kathmandu tomorrow.
Day 15Fly to Kathmandu | Transfer to KGHOvernight: 1350 m
Fly back to Kathmandu and we transfer you to Kathmandu Guest House (KGH). After the mountains, the city feels comfortable and easy, and you can enjoy a final celebratory meal or do last-minute shopping. We keep the day relaxed so you can pack calmly and rest well. This is also a good buffer day in case domestic flights shift.
Day 16Depart | Transfer to TIA
We transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for your onward flight home.
