Overview

The Ghorepani – Ghandruk Trek is one of the best short treks in the Annapurna region, perfect if you want big Himalayan views, charming villages, and forested trails without committing to a long high-altitude expedition. After time in Kathmandu and Pokhara, you drive to the trailhead near Tikhedhunga and start trekking uphill to Ulleri, then continue through classic mid-hill landscapes into Ghorepani.

The highlight is an early morning hike to Poon Hill for sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges on clear days, followed by a scenic ridge walk and descent into the warm, traditional atmosphere of Ghandruk. The trek finishes with an easy drive back to Pokhara and returns to Kathmandu with comfortable buffer time before departure.

Travel to Pokhara by flight (or driving if required). Flying is quick and scenic on clear days, while driving gives you a fuller sense of Nepal’s countryside and river valleys.
After arriving, you can enjoy Pokhara’s relaxed lakeside atmosphere and get a good rest before the trek begins.

Day 4Drive to Tikhedhunga | Trek to UlleriOvernight: 1960 m

A short drive takes you to the trailhead near Tikhedhunga, where you begin trekking through rural foothill scenery. The trail climbs steadily through villages and terraced farmland, and you quickly feel the shift from city life into the hills.
Ulleri is a classic first overnight stop, known for its mountain village setting and the satisfaction of a strong first trekking day.

Day 5Trek to GhorepaniOvernight: 2850 m
