About Us
Nepal isn’t just a destination. It’s a feeling.
To some, Nepal is the home of Chomolungma - the Mother Goddess of the Universe. To others, it’s a land defined by the legends of the Gurkhas or the peaceful footsteps of the Buddha.
But to us? Nepal is simply home.
We believe that whether you are drawn here by the jagged skyline of the Himalayas or the spiritual pull of our ancient valleys, you aren’t just a "tourist." You are a guest in our home, and we’ve been waiting to show you the way.
From the Khumbu, For the World.
Khumbu Adventures wasn’t built in a boardroom; it was built on the trails. Founded by Lhakpa Dorji and his wife Lhakpa Doma, our company is the result of a lifetime spent navigating the thin air and high passes of the Himalayas.
Lhakpa Dorji didn't just learn about these mountains from a book—he grew up in their shadow. Along with Lhakpa Doma, he envisioned a travel company that combined professional, "top-notch" logistics with the genuine, warm hospitality that the Sherpa people are known for. When you trek with us, you’re not just hiring a guide; you’re joining a family legacy.
Professional Expertise, Sherpa Heart.
We know that a trip to Nepal is often a "once-in-a-lifetime" dream. We don't take that responsibility lightly.
Local Roots: Our guides aren't just employees; they are locals who know every tea house, every shortcut, and every story hidden in the peaks.
Mountain-to-Jungle: While our name says "Khumbu," our expertise spans all of Nepal. From the thin air of Everest to the steamy, vibrant lowlands of the Terai, we provide seamless, professional service every step of the way.
Sustainable Soul: We love this land because it is ours. We practice ethical trekking that supports our porters, respects our culture, and keeps our trails clean for the next generation of explorers.
You’re in Safe Hands.
Adventure involves risk, but your safety is our non-negotiable priority. With our team's decades of experience and our team’s rigorous standards, we ensure that your journey is as secure as it is breathtaking. We’re here to handle the logistics, the permits, and the oxygen levels - so all you have to do is breathe in the mountain air and enjoy the view.
