The itinerary includes an Everest View day hike above Namche for big panoramas, then continues to Pangboche with an optional higher day trip toward Dingboche for a true high-Himalaya feel before returning to Namche and Lukla.

Itinerary
Day 1Arrive in Kathmandu | Transfer to KGHOvernight: 1350 m
Arrive in Kathmandu and we transfer you to Kathmandu Guest House (KGH). The day is kept light so you can rest, hydrate, and recover from travel. If you arrive early, you can do a gentle walk nearby and pick up any last essentials like snacks, batteries, and sun protection. In the evening, we keep things calm and go over the trek flow so you feel fully prepared.
Day 2Kathmandu | Optional World Heritage SightseeingOvernight: 1350 m
This is your second Kathmandu day, so it can be used for Optional World Heritage Sightseeing while still keeping time for trek preparation. We use the day for a briefing, final gear checks, and confirming Lukla flight logistics. Because this is an Everest region itinerary, this day can also be used for the drive to Manthali (Ramechhap) if flights are operating from there for an early morning departure. We keep the evening relaxed so you are well-rested for the flight day.
Day 3Fly Lukla, Trek to MonjoOvernight: 2850 m
You fly to Lukla and begin trekking along the Dudh Koshi valley on a classic trail with suspension bridges, riverside forests, and Sherpa settlements. The first day is intentionally gentle so your body settles into the altitude without rushing. Monjo is a comfortable first stop near the national park entrance area, and the evening is usually calm and quiet. Rest well tonight because tomorrow includes the signature climb to Namche.
Day 4Trek to NamcheOvernight: 3440 m
Today you continue up-valley and the terrain becomes more mountainous as you cross bridges and move through forest sections. The final climb reveals Namche’s amphitheatre-shaped hillside setting, a true milestone moment in the Khumbu. After arrival, we keep the afternoon light with warm food, hydration, and rest, because acclimatization matters more than activity today. Namche’s cafés and shops also make it a comfortable place to settle in before heading to the higher village valleys.
Day 5Everest View day hikeOvernight: 3340 m
A classic acclimatization day where you hike higher for views and then return to sleep in Namche. The Everest View hike is designed to help your body adapt safely while still delivering big Himalayan panoramas in clear weather. The pace is steady and unhurried, with time for photos and short breaks. Returning to Namche for another night keeps the itinerary smart and comfortable before moving into the quieter Sherpa valleys tomorrow.
Day 6Trek to ThameOvernight: 3800 m
You leave the busier main corridor and head into the Thame valley, which often feels calmer and more traditional. The trail follows a scenic side route with a strong Sherpa village atmosphere and a quieter pace. Thame is a well-known Sherpa settlement and a meaningful cultural stop, especially for travelers who want more village depth than the standard EBC highway. After arrival, the evening is relaxed, perfect for warm meals and good rest at a higher altitude.
Day 7Trek to KhundeOvernight: 3840 m
Today you move toward the Khunde area, shifting into another important Sherpa village valley. The day feels culturally rich, with village life and Buddhist heritage woven into the landscape and daily rhythm. Khunde is a peaceful place to overnight and is well positioned for gentle exploration without crowd pressure. After arrival, we keep things simple and comfortable so you continue acclimatizing smoothly.
Day 8Trek to PhortseOvernight: 3800 m
You trek to Phortse, a village that many travelers appreciate for its traditional Sherpa feel and quieter atmosphere. The route typically involves scenic hillside trails and a sense of moving between valleys rather than following the busiest main line. Phortse is a comfortable overnight that keeps the itinerary well paced and avoids rushing toward higher ground too quickly. The evening is calm and is a good time to rest well before continuing to Pangboche.
Day 9Trek to PangbocheOvernight: 3950 m
Today you trek to Pangboche, one of the most culturally important Sherpa settlements in the region. The scenery feels more alpine as you gain altitude, and the village setting often feels distinctly “upper Khumbu” in character. Pangboche is a great place to slow down, enjoy the village atmosphere, and prepare for the higher day trip tomorrow. A restful evening here makes a big difference because you are now sleeping at the highest altitude of this itinerary.
Day 10Dingboche day tripOvernight: 3950 m
This is a higher day trip designed to give you a true alpine valley experience without moving your lodge. You hike toward Dingboche and spend time in the higher landscape and mountain atmosphere, then return to Pangboche for the night. The goal is steady pacing and safe altitude exposure, not speed, so we keep breaks frequent and focus on hydration. Returning to Pangboche for sleep is a smart design choice that helps recovery.
Day 11 Trek to NamcheOvernight: 3340 m
You begin descending back toward Namche, and the air starts to feel richer as you lose altitude. The trail feels more comfortable on breathing, and the return perspective makes familiar viewpoints feel new. Arriving back in Namche is a rewarding milestone because you are back in the region’s main hub with comfortable lodge options and a lively mountain-town atmosphere. The evening is ideal for a relaxed meal and a calm rest after the higher village days.
Day 12Trek to LuklaOvernight: 2860 m
Your final trekking day follows the classic Dudh Koshi valley route back to Lukla. The trail feels more connected and active as you approach the airstrip village, and the landscape becomes greener and warmer. Reaching Lukla marks the traditional end of the trekking section, and most guests enjoy a relaxed, celebratory evening. An early night is recommended because flights are weather dependent and usually operate early.
Day 13Fly to Kathmandu | Transfer to KGHOvernight: 1350 m
You fly out from Lukla, with the arrival point depending on seasonal flight operations. If flights are routed via Manthali (Ramechhap), you land there and then drive to Kathmandu, keeping the return organized and smooth. Once in Kathmandu, we transfer you back to Kathmandu Guest House (KGH) for a comfortable evening. This is the perfect time for a long shower, good food, and relaxed packing.
Day 14 Kathmandu | Optional World Heritage SightseeingOvernight: 1350 m
A free day in Kathmandu that can be used for Optional World Heritage Sightseeing, shopping, or simply resting at KGH. It also works as a practical buffer in case Lukla flights shift due to weather, protecting your international departure. Many guests use this day for café time, souvenir shopping, and a final celebratory meal. We keep the day unhurried so departure feels easy.
Day 15Depart | Transfer to TIA
We transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for your onward flight home.
