Overview

This Khumbu Panorama Luxury Trip is designed for travelers who want the magic of the Everest region with premium comfort and smooth logistics. You begin in Kathmandu at Kathmandu Guest House (KGH Suite), then fly by shared helicopter to Lukla and start trekking through the Dudh Koshi valley with high-quality lodge stays. The trail follows the classic Everest approach route to Namche Bazaar, with overnight comfort at Mountain Lodges of Nepal (MLN) in Phakding, Monjo, and Namche.

A key highlight is the acclimatization day trip to the Everest View area above Namche, giving you big Himalayan panoramas without pushing into extreme altitude zones. You also trek to Tengboche, famous for its monastery setting and iconic mountain views, and stay at a luxury lodge there before returning through the same scenic corridor. The trip ends with a shared helicopter flight back to Kathmandu, keeping the return smooth and time-efficient.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in Kathmandu | Transfer to KGH SuiteOvernight: 1350 m

Arrive in Kathmandu and we transfer you to Kathmandu Guest House (KGH Suite). The day is kept light so you can rest, hydrate, and recover from travel. If you arrive early, you can enjoy a relaxed walk nearby and settle into the city at an easy pace. In the evening, we keep things calm so you start the trip feeling fresh and well-rested.

Day 2Kathmandu | Optional World Heritage SightseeingOvernight: 1350 m

This is your second day in Kathmandu, so it can be used for Optional World Heritage Sightseeing while still keeping time for preparation. You can use the day for a briefing, a gentle gear check, and enjoying the comfort of your suite. If you want sightseeing, we keep it comfortable and efficient so you still have plenty of downtime. A relaxed evening helps you rest well before the helicopter day tomorrow.

Day 3Shared helicopter to Lukla, trek to Phakding (MLN)Overnight: 2650 m

You take a shared helicopter flight to Lukla, which is a smooth and scenic way to enter the Everest region. After landing, you begin trekking along the Dudh Koshi valley on a lively trail with suspension bridges, riverside forests, and small Sherpa settlements. The day is designed to be gentle so you settle into the altitude comfortably. You end in Phakding and stay at the MLN lodge, allowing a comfortable first night on the trail.

Day 4Trek to Monjo (MLN)Overnight: 2850 m

You continue along the Dudh Koshi valley, crossing bridges and passing villages that give you a close look at local life along the Everest corridor. The trail remains scenic and varied, with forest sections and open river views. Monjo is a classic stopping point near the Sagarmatha National Park entrance area, which makes it a natural place to overnight. Your MLN stay keeps the evening comfortable and relaxed.

Day 5Trek to Namche (MLN)Overnight: 3460 m

Today is the signature climb into Namche, with suspension bridges and steadily rising trails as the valley narrows. The final climb reveals Namche’s amphitheatre-shaped hillside setting, a true milestone moment on the Everest trail. After arrival, you have time to settle in properly and enjoy the lively mountain-town atmosphere. Your MLN lodge stay adds comfort and makes acclimatization feel easy and enjoyable.

Day 6Everest View day hike (MLN)Overnight: 3458 m

A classic acclimatization day that takes you above Namche to gain height safely and return to sleep lower. The Everest View area is famous for panoramic Himalayan scenery on clear days and is one of the best “big view” experiences without going into higher camps. The day is intentionally flexible - steady walking, photo time, and a relaxed return to Namche. Another night at MLN helps your body adapt while keeping comfort high.

Day 7Trek to Tengboche (Luxury Lodge)Overnight: 3860 m

You trek toward Tengboche on one of the most scenic sections of the Khumbu trail, often mixing forested paths with open ridgeline viewpoints. The arrival is special because Tengboche is known for its iconic monastery setting and dramatic mountain backdrops on clear days. Staying at a luxury lodge here upgrades the experience, giving you a comfortable base to enjoy the atmosphere without rushing. The evening is perfect for a quiet walk and early rest in a truly classic Everest setting.

Day 8Trek to Namche (MLN)Overnight: 3460 m

You descend back toward Namche, with forest returning and the air feeling noticeably richer as you lose some altitude. The return feels comfortable because you already know the route and can enjoy the scenery from a new perspective. Back in Namche, the atmosphere is lively again with cafés and shops that feel surprisingly vibrant for the mountains. Your MLN stay makes it an easy, comfortable night before heading lower.

Day 9Trek to Phakding (MLN)Overnight: 2650 m

Today you continue descending the Dudh Koshi corridor, crossing familiar bridges and passing villages that now feel like old friends. The landscape becomes greener and warmer as you drop, and the walking often feels easier on breathing. Returning to Phakding gives you a relaxed rhythm and a comfortable MLN overnight. It is a great evening to celebrate the trek while keeping things calm for the Lukla stage tomorrow.

Day 10 Trek to Lukla (MLN)Overnight: 2850 m

Your final trekking day follows the classic return route down the valley, with the trail feeling more connected and active as you approach Lukla. It is a satisfying end-of-trek day where you can reflect on the journey and enjoy the last mountain views. Arriving in Lukla is the traditional finish moment, and your MLN stay keeps the evening comfortable and celebratory. An early night is recommended since the helicopter flight out is scheduled for the next day.

Day 11Shared helicopter to Kathmandu | Transfer to KGH SuiteOvernight: 1350 m

You take a shared helicopter flight back to Kathmandu, keeping the return smooth and time-efficient. After the high valley air, the warmth and oxygen of the city feel immediate and relaxing. We transfer you to Kathmandu Guest House (KGH Suite), where you can enjoy a long shower, great food, and a calm evening. This is also your best time for souvenir shopping or a farewell dinner.

Day 12Depart | Transfer to TIA

We transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for your onward flight home.
