Overview
This luxury trek is built for travelers who want the classic Everest-region trail experience with higher comfort and smarter logistics. You begin in Kathmandu at Kathmandu Guest House (KGH Suite), then take a shared helicopter to Lukla and trek through the Dudh Koshi valley with upgraded lodge stays, including MLN nights in Phakding, Monjo, and Namche. After a well-paced acclimatization day above Namche to the Everest View area, you continue to Tengboche for a luxury lodge stay in the region’s most iconic monastery setting.
The trek then moves deeper into the Imja Valley with overnight comfort in Dingboche, plus a dedicated day trip to Chhukhung for big mountain scenery and a true high Himalayan feel without pushing to extreme altitudes. Instead of a long descent on foot, you return by chartered helicopter to Lukla and then shared helicopter to Kathmandu, keeping the finish smooth and time-efficient. Itinerary
Day 1Arrive in Kathmandu | Transfer to KGH SuiteOvernight: 1350 m
Arrive in Kathmandu and we transfer you to Kathmandu Guest House (KGH Suite). The day is kept light so you can rest, hydrate, and recover from travel. If you arrive early, you can take a short walk nearby and get a feel for the city’s energy without overdoing it. This is also a good time to check any last essentials like sunscreen, lip balm, and warm layers. In the evening, we keep things calm so you start the trip feeling fresh.
Day 2Kathmandu | Optional World Heritage SightseeingOvernight: 1350 m
This is your second day in Kathmandu, so it can be used for Optional World Heritage Sightseeing while still keeping time for trip preparation. You will have a trek briefing, final gear checks, and a chance to make sure your layering system is comfortable for cold mornings and warm sunny afternoons in the Khumbu. If you choose sightseeing, we keep it relaxed and efficient so you still have plenty of downtime. A calm evening and good sleep helps a lot before the helicopter day.
Day 3Shared helicopter to Lukla, trek to Phakding (MLN)Overnight: 2650 m
You take a shared helicopter to Lukla, a smooth and scenic way to enter the Everest region. After landing, you start trekking along the Dudh Koshi valley on a classic trail with suspension bridges, riverside forests, and small Sherpa settlements. The walking is intentionally gentle so your body settles into the altitude comfortably. You arrive in Phakding and stay at the MLN lodge, giving you a comfortable first night on the trail. The evening is ideal for a relaxed meal and an early rest.
Day 4 Trek to Monjo (MLN)Overnight: 2850 m
Today continues along the Dudh Koshi valley, crossing more bridges and passing lively trail villages. The scenery stays green and river-focused, with forest sections and open valley views that make the day feel varied and enjoyable. Monjo is a classic stopping point close to the Sagarmatha National Park entry area, so the trekking atmosphere becomes more distinctly “Everest region” here. Your MLN stay keeps the evening comfortable with good rest and warm meals. This is a great night to hydrate well before the climb to Namche.
Day 5Trek to Namche (MLN)Overnight: 3459 m
This is the signature climb day into Namche, with the trail steadily gaining height as the valley narrows. You cross suspension bridges and gradually feel the mountains closing in, building the sense of entering the heart of the Khumbu. The final climb reveals Namche’s amphitheatre-shaped hillside setting, one of the most iconic arrivals in Nepal trekking. After check-in, you have time to settle in and enjoy the mountain-town vibe. Your MLN lodge stay makes acclimatization feel easy and comfortable
Day 6Everest View day hike (MLN)Overnight: 3458 m
A classic acclimatization day that takes you above Namche to gain height safely and return to sleep lower. The Everest View area is famous for panoramic Himalayan scenery on clear days and is one of the best “big view” experiences without pushing into higher camps. The day is kept flexible and unhurried with steady walking, photo time, and a relaxed return to Namche. Another MLN night helps your body adapt while keeping comfort high. This day also sets you up well for moving toward Tengboche tomorrow.
Day 7Trek to Tengboche (MLN)Overnight: 3860 m
You trek toward Tengboche on one of the most scenic sections of the Khumbu, often mixing forest trails with open viewpoints. The atmosphere becomes more spiritual and dramatic as you approach the monastery area, which is famous for its setting and mountain backdrops in clear weather. Staying at a luxury lodge here upgrades the experience and gives you a comfortable base to enjoy the location without rushing. If timing allows, you can take a calm walk around the monastery area and enjoy the evening light. An early rest is recommended so you feel strong for the next day’s trek.
Day 8Trek to Pangboche (Traditional Best Lodge)Overnight: 3950 m
Today you continue deeper into the upper valley with a strong Sherpa cultural feel and increasingly close mountain scenery. Pangboche is a traditional village known for its monastery heritage and its iconic Ama Dablam backdrop when the skies are clear. The overnight is in a traditional lodge, but we select the best available option for comfort and cleanliness. The day is designed to be steady rather than rushed, helping you stay comfortable as altitude increases. It is also a great evening to rest well before heading toward Dingboche.
Day 9Trek to Dingboche (Dingboche Inn)Overnight: 4410 m
You climb into the upper Imja Valley where the landscape becomes more open and alpine, with fewer trees and wider horizons. Dingboche is a key high settlement and a common acclimatization base in the region, so the village has a strong trekking atmosphere. After arrival, you settle into a Dingboche Inn, a relatively luxurious lodge, which makes a big difference at this altitude with warmth, comfort, and a relaxed place to recover. The afternoon is best kept easy with a gentle stroll and plenty of hydration. Sleeping well here sets you up for tomorrow’s scenic day trip.
Day 10Chhukhung day trip (Dingboche Inn)Overnight: 4410 m
Today is a dedicated excursion deeper into the Imja Valley to Chhukhung, a beautiful high alpine lodge settlement used by trekkers and climbers. The route feels dramatic and remote compared to the lower villages, with glaciated valley scenery and a strong high-mountain atmosphere. This day is designed for scenery and acclimatization rather than pushing higher, so we keep the pace steady and comfortable. After spending time in Chhukhung, you return to Dingboche for another night in your luxury lodge. A second night at the same altitude supports recovery and keeps the trip feeling premium, not rushed.
Day 11 Chartered helicopter to Lukla, shared helicopter to Kathmandu | Transfer to KGH SuiteOvernight: 1350 m
Today you fly out by helicopter, a comfortable way to avoid a long multi-day descent on foot. The flight usually provides incredible aerial perspectives of the Khumbu valleys and ridgelines, weather permitting. You travel by chartered helicopter to Lukla and then continue by shared helicopter to Kathmandu, keeping logistics smooth and time-efficient. On arrival, we transfer you back to Kathmandu Guest House (KGH Suite) for a well-earned hot shower and relaxed evening. This is a perfect night for a celebratory dinner and easy packing.
Day 12Kathmandu | Optional World Heritage SightseeingOvernight: 1350 m
This day can be used for Optional World Heritage Sightseeing, final shopping, or simply resting before your flight. Many guests like using this time for a calm cultural walk, a proper coffee day, and a farewell meal in the city. It is also the best time to pack without pressure and double-check travel documents. We keep everything unhurried so departure day feels smooth. Overnight is at KGH Suite.
Day 13Depart | Transfer to TIA
We transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for your onward flight home. If your flight is later in the day, you can enjoy a relaxed breakfast and fin
