Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in Kathmandu | Transfer to KGHOvernight: 1350 m

Arrive in Kathmandu and we transfer you to Kathmandu Guest House (KGH). The day is kept light so you can rest and recover from travel. If you arrive early, you can take a gentle walk nearby and get your first taste of Kathmandu’s street life, cafés, and shopping lanes. In the evening, we keep things calm and go over the plan for the heritage drives and the Chitwan section.

Day 2Kathmandu | Optional World Heritage SightseeingOvernight: 1350 m

This is your second day in Kathmandu, so it can be used for Optional World Heritage Sightseeing. You can keep the day relaxed with a guided cultural tour, or use the time for a slow start, shopping, and preparation for the road journey. This is also a good day to confirm timing for the heritage drives and keep your bags organized for easier hotel changes. A calm evening and good sleep help before the first long drive.

Day 3 Drive to Nuwakot | Visit Nuwakot DurbarOvernight: 900 m

You drive out of Kathmandu into the mid-hills and reach the historic Nuwakot area. The highlight is visiting Nuwakot Durbar, a hilltop palace complex with a strong historical role and a beautiful setting above the surrounding valleys. The visit is paced comfortably with time for photos and short walks around the Durbar area. After sightseeing, you settle into your accommodation and enjoy a quiet evening in a hill-town atmosphere.

Day 4Drive to Gorkha | Visit Gorkha PalaceOvernight: 1000 m

Today you travel toward Gorkha and visit Gorkha Palace (Gorkha Durbar), a landmark site closely tied to Nepal’s history. The palace sits above the bazaar, and the visit usually includes a walk up and time to explore the fort-palace area calmly. The day feels like a strong cultural chapter, with plenty of opportunities for history, viewpoints, and local town life. After the visit, you relax for the evening and prepare for the next stage of travel.

Day 5Drive to BandipurOvernight: 1030 m

You drive to Bandipur, a charming hilltop town known for its relaxed pace and old bazaar atmosphere. After arrival, you can enjoy an easy walk through the main street and take in the preserved town character. Bandipur is perfect for a slow evening - sunset viewpoints, relaxed dining, and a calmer night’s sleep in the hills. This is a beautiful cultural transition before heading down to the warmer lowlands for Chitwan.

Day 6Drive to ChitwanOvernight: 150 m

You descend from the hills to the warmer lowlands and reach the Chitwan area. The landscape changes quickly into greener plains and river corridors with a more tropical feel. After check-in, the focus is on rest and settling into the lodge setting. In the evening, you can enjoy a relaxed briefing about the next day’s jungle activities and what to expect.

Day 7Chitwan jungle activities and explorationOvernight: 150 m

A full day in Chitwan for guided jungle experiences. Activities typically include options like a jeep safari, guided nature walk, canoeing on the river, and cultural experiences depending on the lodge program. The day is planned around comfort and safety, with experienced local naturalists and a relaxed pace between activities. After a full day outdoors, the evening is perfect for a calm dinner and rest at the lodge.

Day 8Fly to Kathmandu | Transfer to KGHOvernight: 1350 m

You return to Kathmandu by flight and transfer back to Kathmandu Guest House (KGH). After the heat of the lowlands, the Kathmandu climate feels cooler and more comfortable. This evening is ideal for souvenir shopping, a farewell meal, and relaxed packing. We keep the schedule light so the end of the trip stays smooth.

Day 9Kathmandu | Optional World Heritage SightseeingOvernight: 1300 m

A free day in Kathmandu that can be used for Optional World Heritage Sightseeing, shopping, or simply resting at KGH. It also works as a practical buffer in case travel schedules shift. Many guests use this day for a calm café day, last shopping, and a final celebratory dinner. Keeping the day unhurried makes departure day feel easy.

Day 10Depart | Transfer to TIA

We transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for your onward flight home.
